What’s in my bag?
I’m a frequent traveler with a passion for technology and simplicity. My goal is to travel light with quality gear.

A powerful Linux machine running Pop!_OS.
The power brick is not travel friendly but considering the specs of the machine, it’s not surprising that it would need extra juice.
It’s a fantastic bag for day trips and carrying it around to coffee shops. It’s a bit small for long weekend trips and plan on eventually getting the carry-on bag to go along with it.
Sometimes during my downtime I like to play video games. I am a huge fan of the Nintendo Switch, especially as a father of a toddler. It’s easy to jump in on casual gaming and bring it along with me on trips. There’s no pressure or stress in the games I play and I play in bed for a few minutes.
I was a iPhone customer for years. Then I switched to Samsung Galaxy S7 from Verizon. It didn’t take long to become frustrated with Android and the apps Verizon and Samsung forced upon me. I considered going back to iPhone until I discovered Google Fi and the upcoming release of Pixel 2. This is by far the best phone I’ve ever owned. This is how Android should be.
Since my Nintendo Switch and Pixel use USB-C, I can use the same charger for all both devices.
Most in-ear headphones don’t fit well in my ear. I like the quality of these headphones for the price but would prefer if it collapsed to save space.
Unfortunately, USB-C wireless headphones are rare. I’m stuck carrying around a micro-USB cable to charge this device.
To go along with the wallet, I also own the Bellroy Leather Key Cover. It keeps my keys neat and stops that annoying pocket sound from the keys. My YubiKey attaches to this well too.
I am crazy about security which is why I carry around a YubiKey 4 on my key-chain. Several of my online accounts are locked using FIDO U2F. I wish more online services supported this.
I was sent a Bellroy wallet for a review and just fell in love. I’ve been purchasing their wallets since. My favorite has been the Hide & Seek. I had the travel wallet for awhile but found it to be too large.
